On Friday September 30th, Edenhurst took part in the World’s Largest Coffee Morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. Prep 6 enjoyed organising and running this event, taking the responsibility as our oldest class.

It is hard to believe that play-doh has been entertaining children for over 60 years this year!
Reception children have all had a wonderful first week in school. Everyone has settled in well and all children have had great fun playing with their friends and completing new and exciting activities.
Three years ago, when Prep 6 became the oldest year group in the school, we continued and developed a tradition with our oldest children - taking them away at the beginning of the year for a three-day residential.
The great British summer has unfortunately got the better of several fixtures this year. We were lucky enough to get one last U11 fixture in before the year six children left for their new schools.
Congratulations to all pupils achieving their outstanding Eco Awards this year.
This term has been very busy with the allotment and our Golden Ticket Eco trips but we have had great fun!
So, what’s the end of term like in Prep 3?
Form 2 had an amazing time at Ford Green Hall. We went to learn all about the Great Fire of London but unfortunately Samuel Pepys’s time portal had broken on the day. It didn’t matter though. Our guide was amazing and answered all of our questions.
Form 1 have been studying all aspects of Victorian life in History lessons; homes, holidays, toys and childhood. To investigate further, the class travelled to Dunham Massey to spend a day living as a Victorian child.
Whilst the Eco Golden Ticket Holders were treated to a surprise visit to the Monkey Forest at Trentham, the rest of the Reception class had an exciting day completing tasks linked to the book The Lighthouse Keeper’s Lunch.
As many babies can start in the Baby Room before they are able to move, crawl and walk, one activity that suits all abilities to develop physical skills is the large gymnastics mat.
To celebrate their time in Nursery, Early Learners were treated to a very special animal event. We're sure you'll agree that we have some very brave children in Early Learners!
Here at Edenhurst, we are celebrating a record year of scholarship success. Almost 40% of Prep 6 cohort have been awarded scholarships into notable Independent Schools, including Denstone College and Newcastle-under-Lyme School.
