Admissions criteria
Edenhurst prides itself on being a fully inclusive school. We are academically non-selective, however prospective pupils and their families are required to meet certain criteria in order to maintain the ethos of the school.
A child attending Edenhurst’s Nursery is automatically guaranteed entry into Reception whereas admission into other year groups is dependent upon places being available.
Entry is recommended at the beginning of a school term, but other start times are possible depending upon individual circumstances.
School admissions (Reception to Prep 6) are overseen by the Headteacher and Admissions Officer. Admissions into Nursery (for children aged three months to four years) are overseen by the Nursery Manager and Admissions Officer.
Offer of a Place
A place at the school may be offered following a Taster Day.
Acceptance of a Place
Once the Head has offered a place, we request a deposit of £200 to confirm the child’s place, which will be refunded when they leave Edenhurst, subject to any outstanding amounts.
Waiting List
If a place in the appropriate year group is not available, the Head may offer a place on the Waiting List. Parents would then be informed at the earliest opportunity when a vacancy occurs.
Withdrawal of Offer of a Place
The school reserves the right to withdraw the offer of a place subsequent to the receipt of a Registration Form, in which case the Registration Fee would be refunded.
