Our Little Learners Room, led by Deputy Manager and Room Supervisor Alyson Copestake, is for children around three years of age.
In Little Learners, many aspects of learning are brought together through engaging play and discussion, with dedicated areas for reading and role-play activities. Our Little Learners enjoy a wide range of activities to develop their creativity, problem solving and fine motor skills, including creative play and puzzles. Classes include Rhythm Time and PE taught by specialist teachers.
The children are also introduced to pre-school phonics and number work, preparing them for the transition to Early Learners. During Trinity Term the Little Learners frequently join the Early Learners for story time, allowing the children to gradually familiarise themselves with their new environment before the move.
Parents are kept fully informed of their child’s activities through weekly planners and daily diaries, as well as letters and newsletters. Parents are also invited to speak regularly with the Nursery team in person, to ask any questions that they may have, and to help ensure that each child’s learning and development is fully supported.
