On Monday 8th May, Form 2 set off in an adventure in the woods at the Wolseley Centre (Staffordshire Wildlife Trust). This was a new experience for the school and the day held lots of exciting activities for everyone.

Reception have been very busy this term. We started the term with rehearsals for our class musical play, “The Enormous Turnip”. It was great fun performing in our costumes, on the stage in front of the school and our parents.
Today the Babies have been on an extra special minibeast hunt in the Nursery Garden. They looked in different places to find all sorts of creepy crawlies and were very excited to find a slimy snail!
Our Early Learners Stay & Learn event gave parents the opportunity to come into School to view their child's work, and take part in fun, hands-on learning activities to help them support their child with their learning at home.
Our Early Learners Transition Event was held early this month, to help children in our Little Learners and Explorers classes (age 2-3) prepare for the move up to the Early Learners class, which is our top year of Nursery.
Edenhurst Preparatory School and Nursery were inspected by the Independent School Inspectorate (ISI) in March 2017 and we are delighted to announce that we have been awarded the grade of “Excellent” across the board.

All of the girls from Years 5 and 6 travelled to The Ryleys School for their first Rounders match of the season. It was a very encouraging start.
Pupils from Years 3 and 4 took part in a friendly athletics competition with The Ryleys School to introduce them to track and field athletics.
In Form 1, we place great emphasis on learning through experience, both inside and outside of the classroom.

We were invited to take part in a Bellevue Schools initiative in the form of a Writing Competition, so we gave the children a range of writing tasks and selected two from each class to be considered to be entered.
