To round off their current French topic on food and drink, Prep 6 performed a French café scene in their lesson this week.
Working in groups, the children created their own French dialogue, writing questions and answers between a waiter and customers. They created orders, an amount for the bill and remembered their ‘mercis’ and ‘s’il vous plaits’ too! After a few rehearsals, they were set to perform.
After all their dramatic efforts, the class enjoyed some typical French foods including fresh baguettes, camembert, brie, charcuterie, pains aux chocolat and jams. All washed down with some chocolat chaud. Bon Appetit!
