What a fantastic evening we’ve had watching the Year 1 and Year 2 children perform their wonderful show, Dumble the Dinosaur! The children have thoroughly enjoyed every moment of producing this production – from rehearsals and costume fittings to singing, dancing, and bringing their characters to life on stage.
It has been a joy to watch how much the children embraced their roles. Their enthusiasm and excitement shone through in every scene. Each child delivered their lines with clarity, confidence and real expression, and their ability to portray a wide range of emotions and characters was truly impressive. From the brave explorers to the cheeky dinosaurs, every performance was full of personality and charm.
The singing was a particular highlight, with the children showing off their strong vocal abilities and delivering the songs with gusto and joy. Their dance routines were energetic, well-rehearsed and beautifully in sync – a real testament to their teamwork and dedication.
Perhaps most heart-warming was the confidence with which the children took to the stage. Whether speaking, singing or dancing, they showed great poise and pride in what they had achieved, and rightly so – they were simply brilliant.
I would like to give a heartfelt thank you to Mrs Braxton, Mrs Morton and Mrs Twigge for creating the wonderful scenery that transformed our stage into Dumble’s prehistoric world – it truly brought the story to life. A big thank you also Mrs Jones for not only playing the piano so beautifully this evening, but for teaching the children the songs with such care and patience. Thank you to Mr Cacia for the fantastic sound effects, which added so much atmosphere and excitement to the performance.
And finally, thank you to all the parents – for helping with the costumes and, most importantly, for coming along to support the children tonight. Your encouragement means the world to them, and it made the evening all the more special.
We are so proud of every single child who took part in Dumble the Dinosaur. It was a magical performance that will be remembered for a long time!
