French at Edenhurst

French lessons begin in the Nursery and continue through into the School, delivered by our language specialist teachers.

Every child is encouraged to make a positive contribution, working both as an individual and in pairs/groups, participating in games and role-plays, whether in cafes and shops or the Paris metro.

All pupils, from Y5 onwards are given the opportunity to go join the
bi-annual 5-day residential trip to Chateau de la Baudonniere in Normandy, where they can communicate with French nationals, learning to understand and appreciate different countries and cultures.
