The U11 team finally got their season on the way against The Ryleys after two previous postponements (Newcastle JS and Old Hall) due to weather conditions. What a start it was! Joseph S won the toss and decided to have a bowl. Toby E and Joseph S were our opening bowlers, both bowling very well. Toby got the breakthrough in the 3rd over. With our excellent bowling and fielding throughout the Ryleys Innings, we limited the visitors to 26 runs, bowling them out in 11 overs. Wickets from Toby E, Joseph S, Oliver M and a superb catch from Bryce S.
It was now over to Richard S and Toby R our opening batsman, Richard lost his wicket early but Toby R and Oliver M put on the winning runs with 12 overs to spare. A fantastic start to the season and a really pleasing performance by the entire squad.
