As part of our learning about Buildings, the Little Learners were visited by James the Builder last week.

The children sat beautifully using their listening ears as he spoke to us. He showed us the process of building a house from drawing plans to digging footings to the completed house. We also talked about the tools he uses such as a hammer, screwdriver and jigsaw and drill and what they are used for. Finally we looked at safety on a building site and why builders use hard hats and high visibility vests. The Little Learners then had lots of fun trying on hard hats to protect their heads!  Thank you to James for taking the time to come and visit us, we thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
