At Edenhurst, we are proud to support the Dougie Mac charity through fundraising at various school events. It was therefore delightful to be invited to spend a morning with members of the local community who benefit from Dougie Mac’s dementia services.
The children in Prep 6 had a lovely morning interacting with those supported by the charity. They made Christmas decorations in the arts and craft session, learnt to play dominoes and were serenaded with French songs by one of the service users. It was good for the children to see how the money that we raise at school is used to help fund these services and how much it helps the families of those affected by conditions such as dementia.
