|I have worked in the education and care environment for all of my life. I began my career working as a Nursery Nurse, I was then promoted to Deputy and then worked in many different nurseries developing and improving my practice constantly. After having my son I began work as a Childminder and Foster Carer. When our daughter was born I worked for Save The Children Fund in inner city communities. I qualified as an Assessor and Verifier in Early Years Education and went on to complete my BA Honors in Early Years Care and Education degree and qualification in Teaching. My career began as a Lecturer in Early Years Care and Education and continued for eighteen years. During that time I also did voluntary work for Homestart and became a Director on the board. After evaluating my life I applied for a job at Edenhurst and have loved working with younger children and families once again.|
I love to spend time with my family and have a grown up son and daughter and a beautiful granddaughter. My husband and I have been married a considerable time (too many years to mention). I love nature, being outside and walking our Lakeland terrier who has boundless energy. One of my hobbies is drawing and painting mostly outdoor scenes, animals or plants. I also practice Yoga and attend a local gym.
Random fact about me:
I love ice skating, roller skating, skiing and horse riding.
I have also been white water rafting and have abseiled down a quarry.
