Me professionally:
It sounds cliche, but I have genuinely always wanted to be a teacher. Right from the age of 7, where I played ‘teacher’ in my bedroom. Registers and whiteboards were my favourite things to play with! I started my teaching journey in 2013 at Chester University, where I did a drama degree, working with children doing drama workshops. After Leaving Chester, I went to Thailand for some time to teach English, and then back to University to complete my PGCE in 2017- one of the hardest but most rewarding years. Whilst on my PGCE, I did a week’s placement at Edenhurst not knowing that I would fall on my feet and get offered my dream job, here, in Prep 4. I have been here happily ever since, with our Edenhurst family. |
Me personally:
I am a big family person. I love nothing more than family days, cuddling up on the sofa and watching a film. I love getting lost in a book and taking my dogs on long walks. At weekends, I spend time catching up with my friends. |
Random fact about me:
I went travelling in Thailand to teach English and swam with elephants- my favourite animals! I have 2 of the cutest pooches- a jack russell and a cockapoo. I think leaving for school would be easier if I didn’t have their cute faces to leave behind for the day. Christmas is my favourite time of the year. Christmas songs are an absolute must in my classroom! |
