Reception’s Busy Term: Amerton Farm, Trentham Gardens, and More!

Posted: 9th July 2024

Reception have had a busy term and have been on many adventures. Not only did we go to Northwood Stadium for Sports’ Day, and to The Forum Theatre for Speech and Prizegiving Day, we went on two of our own visits.

Our first visit was to Amerton Farm, where we met the animals. We were allowed to pet rabbits and chickens, and the ponies rather liked to be stroked too! We went on a tractor ride around the farm, and we especially enjoyed playing in the play barn and outdoor park. We all decided that we would like to return the next day!

Our final trip of the year was to Trentham Gardens. We went on the fairy trail and collected our stickers when we found each fairy. We were delighted to have completed the trail in one day – yes, we are competitive! We had a ride on the train and walked the remainder of the way round the lake. We were hoping to see a monkey but had no luck this time! After a busy day, we played on the parks, then finished off with an ice-cream.

We have had a fun packed term and will hopefully have made some wonderful memories.
