Christmas Concerts and Community Performances Bring the Festive Spirit

Posted: 15th December 2023

The music department has been incredibly busy this term rehearsing for our Christmas concerts.

The children were thrilled to perform in the community again for the first time since Covid. The Chamber Choir performed numerous Christmas pieces at Belong Nursing Home in Newcastle-under-Lyme on Tuesday, November 28th, for the residents.

Members of the School choir sang Christmas Carols at the light switch-on event at Bromsberrow Way, Meir Park on December 2nd, contributing to fundraising efforts for Douglas MacMillan and Donna Louise. A big thank you to the children and their families who turned up to support the event. The choir beautifully sang a selection of traditional Christmas Carols which made us feel very festive and even more special by the weather when it started to snow.

Then, we held our annual Nativity and Carol service at St Giles Church on Friday, December 8th, featuring every child in the school from Kindergarten to Prep 6.

Lastly, the Chamber Choir performed at Royal Stoke Hospital from on Monday, December 11th. We invited everyone to attend these events and support what was a delightful build-up to the Christmas festivities.

We have many more exciting things to come in the new year with Pre-Prep plays, Spring Concerts and preparations for the end of year play.

From the music department, I wish you all a very Happy Christmas and I look forward to seeing you all in the New Year.
