Christmas message 2021

You may or may not remember that last year I wrote to Santa for the first time in 45 years. Can you imagine my delight when he granted my Christmas wish for an effective and safe vaccine before Easter, allowing us to have a ‘normal’ Summer term? In fact, Santa was so generous that we also enjoyed the most ‘normal’ Autumn term! Because of this success, I have decided to write to Santa again, asking for more of the same!

This past term has been a wonderful one. This very special little school of ours has breathed a sigh of relief as children have once again been able to just be children. The sound of laughter fills the air every day and happy children enjoy spending time at their home away from home. Our Prep 6 have already formed the loveliest bonds with their Reception buddies and cannot wait to see them at break and lunch times. Life without bubbles has been marvelous. Fixtures, visits, residentials, concerts and whole school assemblies have felt better than ever before.

Christmas is a time of hope and I remain an optimist. The one thing I am sure of, is that this amazing little community is resilient and robust. Between our incredible children, supportive parents and the most dedicated staff team on the planet, we will do everything with our power to ensure that the children at this school thrive. 2022 Seems really daunting at the moment but it will also be filled with many opportunities. Working with children has taught me to always focus on the positive and that is what I am choosing to do. Edenhurst will do what it always has: Nurture and Inspire to ensure that our children Achieve.

2022 will be a great year because Santa will NEVER let me down!

A very blessed Christmas and prosperous New year.
