St Giles’s Church was full and the stage was set for Edenhurst’s annual Carol extravaganza. It was wonderful to welcome our families and guests to celebrate together – “it’s always the beginning of Christmas for me!” was the remark of one long-time attendee. The atmosphere of St Giles – a large, traditional parish church in the heart of Newcastle – lends itself well to this special service.
This is the first opportunity each year to see the whole school perform, with Early Learners to Prep 6 all playing a part. Our various choirs sang sweetly and Prep 6 narrated with confidence, providing the soundtrack for Prep 3 to share the story of the Nativity.
Thank you to Mrs Bennett and Mrs Whitmore for preparing Prep 3; to Mrs Jones and Mrs Hodgkinson for organising and preparing the choirs; and to everyone who came along and took part in the service. We wish you all a very Merry Christmas!
