A Nursery Full Of Cheeky Monkeys!

The Toddlers had a very exciting time at the end of last month as they ventured out for their very first class trip to the Monkey Forest in Trentham. We all brought our own car seat in the morning and after our sleep in the afternoon climbed onto the minibus (with a bit of help from all the teachers) and set off driven by Mr Hibbert! Luckily the weather was beautiful and we didn’t even need coats.

The Toddlers  were learning about animals so it was very beneficial for them to see a living species in their own natural environment. To observe as accurately as we could how they behave in their homes we saw feeding time and we were amazed to see how much the monkey’s enjoyed their fruit! We also saw them climb lots of tree and play together.

It was very useful for the children to develop their understanding of the world and to notice things for themselves as we walked around the forest. Lots of the Toddlers pointed to the monkeys to show us what they could see. It was lots of fun! We even had time to stop for a sit down and refreshing drink before we came back.

When we returned to Nursery, we looked at photographs we took that day and went on a hunt around the room to see the cheeky monkeys hiding. We loved this and were very excited when we found them!
