Monday 17th December was a full day for everyone at Edenhurst…not content with having a House Activity Day and Christmas Lunch, we also had our Christmas Fayre as organised by the new EPTA Committee. Held in a later time slot (4-6 pm), it was quickly obvious that it was going to be popular – and busy! The School Hall and Dining Room were soon full up and everyone was soon enjoying the different activities taking place. The Christmas Fayre was a huge success, thanks to all the parents and teachers coming together and made Edenhurst’s festive celebration one to remember! From the stalls, to the photo booth, to the mince pies and hot chocolate, everything was enjoyed by all!
A massive thank you to all those who bought and sold raffle tickets and to all the parents and teachers who volunteered their time to help out, not forgetting also a big thank you to all those parents who came along to support the event!
Our Prep 6 Elves have also been busy today handing out all the Christmas books to both Nursery & school children.
The raffle was drawn this afternoon in the final assembly and some of you will already know your good fortune…if you won but did not have a representative in school, you will be contacted before Christmas.
After expenses, we raised a fantastic total of £1,400! Well done to the EPTA Committee and thank you to everyone who gave their time, both on and before the day, to make it a success.
Charlie H-S won the competition to become Head for the Day by selling the most raffle tickets…he and his team will be planning what they are going to do on their special day when we return in the New Year!
So from all of us at the EPTA we hope you have a Merry Christmas and we look forward to seeing you all at our next event in 2019!
