Eco Council Go Green in Silverdale!

This year the local Eco Forum was held at Silverdale Country Park. We took 8 children who were engaged in each of the workshops led by different local organisations.

They enjoyed learning all about beekeeping from a local expert and they were creative when making their own crowns and banners. The smoothie bike was also a great success and I was delighted when Callum made one for me, which was delicious. They also made pine cone feeders which was pretty messy but will be a tasty treat for their garden birds.

The groups also enjoyed their walk into the country park, looking at different wildlife as they went.

Events like this are brilliant for meeting other schools who are on their own Eco journey and also finding out how other organisations can INSPIRE us and help us to ACHIEVE our own Eco goals.
