Edenhurst win local derby

The great British summer has unfortunately got the better of several fixtures this year. We were lucky enough to get one last U11 fixture in before the year six children left for their new schools. What better way to finish, then a good old local derby v Yarlet.

Overall the season has been very successful with some outstanding team performances, this continued against Yarlet. We lost the toss and were put into bat, a fantastic opening partnership between Oliver M and Toby E (45 runs) got us off to a fantastic start. Joseph S pushed us along with help from Alex R. We set Yarlet the target of 98 to win! Yarlet started well scoring freely but some excellent bowling from Oliver M and Joseph S saw us slow their run rate down. Our fielding was outstanding, which helped build the pressure and wickets tumbled, bowling Yarlet all out and winning by 34 runs.

It’s been a pleasure to coach the whole squad, great season, well done!
