On Thursday 21st April Prep 5 visited the Lowry in Salford, Manchester!
The pupils studied a range of Lowry’s works from cityscapes to seascapes and portraits. They were asked to study the work in detail and to respond to the images in the gallery. During the visit, they developed their observational drawing skills and learned about Lowry and his life! The pupils viewed some of the sculptures (on the sculpture trail) outside of the Gallery and had a go at drawing the cityscape and the buildings surrounding the gallery (as it is now) in the style of Lowry. All of the pupils worked very hard and were great representatives for Edenhurst! The sun even shone as they were drawing!
