As part of our regular review and inspection cycle, Edenhurst was inspected in September 2025 by The Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) who inspected the school from nursery to Prep 6. The key findings are outlined below.

QUALITY OF EDUCATION, TRAINING AND RECREATION

  • We are delighted that the inspection team highlighted the strength and richness of Edenhurst’s  curriculum, recognising it as an engaging and inspiring foundation for our pupils’ curiosity.
  • Our teachers were praised for their strong subject knowledge and the care they take in planning well-structured lessons.
  • The inspectors particularly valued our character education programme, alongside economics, business, and finance lessons, which bring so much breadth and excitement to learning.
  • High quality teaching, with thoughtful questioning, clear instruction, and skilled modelling, was recognised for ensuring that every child is appropriately challenged.
  • They also commented on the fantastic opportunities we provide to support communication and language development, and celebrated our diverse range of clubs and activities that allow pupils to explore their interests and develop personally in so many ways.

PUPILS’ PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH AND EMOTIONAL WELLBEING

  • Our PSHE programme also received glowing feedback, with inspectors noting how it encourages pupils to think about important themes such as equity, emotions, relationships, and consent.
  • They praised our staff for promoting positive behaviour through gentle reminders and consistent routines, helping pupils develop self-regulation, respect, and consideration for one another.
  • Inspectors highlighted the high levels of care and supervision throughout the school, recognising how safe and supported our pupils feel.
  • Teachers were also commended for engaging pupils in reflective conversations about their learning, achievements, and wellbeing, something we see as such an important part of helping each child flourish.

PUPILS’ SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC EDUCATION AND CONTRIBUTION TO SOCIETY

  • Inspectors were impressed by our strong culture of mutual respect and our commitment to celebrating the diversity of our community.  They noted how pupils value and respect one another, contributing to a harmonious and inclusive school environment.
  • The wide range of leadership opportunities available was praised, recognising how these roles help pupils develop confidence and essential life skills.
  • Our participation in local community events was also commended, as were visits and visiting speakers that spark pupils’ interest and encourage them to think about their future pathways.

SAFEGUARDING

  • Finally, inspectors highlighted the strong golden thread of safeguarding that runs through everything we do at Edenhurst. Staff were praised for their vigilance and unwavering commitment to keeping pupils safe, with safeguarding practice deeply embedded across the school. Staff were applauded for their thorough training and confident understanding of procedures, ensuring swift and appropriate action when needed. Inspectors also commented on the excellent work we do to teach pupils how to stay safe, particularly online, with our pupils demonstrating a mature, thoughtful, and responsible approach to their own wellbeing.
