Sports Captain Blog: Mini Marathon Review

Posted: 20th May 2026

On Friday 24th April the school hosted a mini marathon for the school. Year 1 and over all took part and the parents and teachers could participate too. Before the mini marathon could start, as the sports captain I hosted the warmup. We ran through the junior park run exercises and everyone joined in to make sure they were ready to run. At 9:30am we blew the whistle and the marathon began. Some of the teachers were marshals and every time we did a lap we got a sticker. We needed to get 4 stickers for a mile and the maximum you could do was 5 miles, so that’s 20 Laps. Everyone did really well and did over 3 miles. It was a fun morning!
