Recently, every child in school took part in our exciting Mini Marathon event. The aim was for each participant to complete a minimum of eight laps around the school grounds, and the enthusiasm from start to finish was incredible.
There was a fantastic atmosphere throughout the day as children, parents and staff cheered each other on and celebrated every achievement. One of the highlights was collecting a sticker at the end of each lap, which kept motivation high and added to the excitement as the laps ticked by.
There was a wonderful mix of fun and friendly competition, with everyone taking part at their own pace. Some children jogged steadily, some sprinted ahead, and others preferred a slower pace, but what mattered most was that everyone joined in and encouraged one another along the way.
We are incredibly proud that every child achieved the minimum target of eight laps, with many children choosing to challenge themselves even further by completing many more. While the event was not organised to raise money, it was a brilliant opportunity to promote the importance of exercise for both our mental and physical health.
There were plenty of laughs throughout the event, along with a few stitches and lots of tired legs by the end of the day, but every single participant should feel proud of what they achieved. The Mini Marathon was a fantastic celebration of determination, resilience and enjoying being active together as a school community.
