We took a team of 12 children to Newcastle Town Rugby Club for this tournament. The teams consisted of eight children with a minimum of two girls per team. There were nine other teams present who had been grouped into two pools. The top two teams from each pool going through to the semis and finals.
Despite a narrow loss in our first game we bounced back and proceeded to win all of the following four heats, resulting in us reaching the semi-finals against NuLS Junior School. This was a closely-fought match with our team putting up a valiant performance. Despite this we weren’t able to clinch victory and had to settle for third place overall. All of the team gave 100% and pulled together fantastically as a team.
