Our Little Learns Room welcomes children between two and three years of age, providing a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can continue to develop their confidence, independence and love of learning.
At this stage, children learn best through engaging play, exploration and discussion. Our carefully planned activities support all areas of development, including creativity, communication, problem-solving, early literacy and numeracy skills, and physical development. Throughout the day, children enjoy a balance of adult-guided activities and child-led exploration, including sensory play, imaginative role-play, construction, painting, number and shape activities, puzzles, climbing, jumping, stories and songs.
The room includes dedicated areas for books, creative activities, construction and role play, allowing children to explore their interests and develop key skills at their own pace. Children are gently introduced to early phonics, pre-reading, writing and number work, helping to build the foundations for their continued learning journey. Specialist-led sessions, including activities such as Rhythm Time and PE, further enrich children’s experiences and encourage confidence, coordination and creativity.
We work closely with parents to ensure every child feels supported and understood. Families are kept fully informed of their child’s activities and progress through weekly planners, daily diaries, letters and newsletters. Parents are also encouraged to speak regularly with the Nursery team, sharing information, asking questions and working together to support each child’s individual learning and development.
