U9 Netball v. Beech Hall

The U9 girls travelled to Beech Hall in Macclesfield for an afternoon of netball. Having now played many matches together they are passing to each other with ease and control and have a good understanding of their role in the team. They looked a very strong team and dominated the match from the start. Accurate shooting ensured a good win of 9 goals to 3.

Well done to the team.

U11 Netball v. Yarlet

The U11 team travelled to Yarlet, near Stafford for a friendly fixture. They all played very well and soon took the lead. Strong defending and accurate shooting throughout the match earned them a 7-4 victory.

Well done to all!

ISA U9 Netball 7 a side

All of the Prep. 3 and 4 girls took part in the Midland ISA U9 Tournament which was held at Stafford Grammar School.

Thirteen teams took part from all over the Midlands area and competition was good.

The teams were split into two sections. We were placed third in our section and went through to the next round to play the team who had come third in their section. That was Stafford Grammar’s Prep. School team and we managed a very comfortable win by 5 goals to 2.

It was a great day, lovely weather and the team played extremely well in their first major tournament.

Well done!

U11 Netball Tournament at Shrewsbury School

The U11 Team played schools from the south of the region which we do not usually have fixtures against, so it is a good opportunity to play against different and larger schools. It was a very high standard and each match was fiercely contended.

It was run as a round robin competition and at the end of the tournament we were placed 4th. Some of the girls had been awarded prizes for being nominated as player of the match by the umpires.
