What was your favourite thing about Edenhurst?
Friends. Learning. Drama.
What other memories do you have from your time at Edenhurst?
Great teachers. Mrs Malbons legendary plays are also worth a mention.
Which activities did you most enjoy at Edenhurst?
Drama with Mrs Malbon and Mrs Fincham. Latin with Mrs Lamb. Inspiring teachers and environment under the leadership of Bill and Sylvia Copestick. An education for life.
What did you think of the teachers at Edenhurst? Did you have a favourite teacher and if so, who was it and why?
Mrs Lamb. Firm but fair and a great imparter of knowledge.
In what ways did the school help prepare you for the 11+ exam?
Edenhurst prepared me and all of us very thoroughly, and I passed, but sadly my parents thought I'd benefit from going to boarding school more than the local grammar school. On my part, I was expecting Mallory Towers and Enid Blyton !! The reality was very different.
Do you still keep in touch with your friends from Edenhurst?
Yes - nine of us Edenhurst alumni from the leavers of 1974 (!!) got together in London a couple of weeks ago, for the second time. We had an amazing day including seeing 'Kinky Boots' at the Theatre which was utterly brilliant!
What useful tips would you give to other pupils preparing to leave Edenhurst?
Choose your second school as wisely as you chose the first one.
How would you sum up your experience at Edenhurst in one word?
