Edenhurst is situated in the Westlands, a quiet residential area of Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire. The school buildings are planned around a Victorian house set in spacious grounds. There is a purpose-built extension for classrooms and separate buildings for both Nursery and Science.

The school day begins at 8.50 a.m. and ends at 3.20 p.m. for infants and 4.00 p.m. for seniors. There are optional activities after school, a supervised Homework group and an extra after school care arrangement until 5.30 p.m., for which an extra charge is levied.

An excellent lunch is provided with a choice of hot, cold or vegetarian meals. Pupils are encouraged to select a balanced meal according to our healthy eating policy. Children become members of one of four houses for which a merit system operates on the basis of social, academic and sporting effort.

Some form of religious meeting is held each day: whole school assemblies are based on a traditional Christian style. We welcome and respect other denominations and faiths.

Although many children at Edenhurst live in the immediate locality, our catchment area is wide, with children travelling from as far as Market Drayton, Nantwich, Congleton, Leek and Stafford.

There is a very strong and active Parent and Teachers Association which organises social and fund raising events throughout the year contributing valued resources to help the school continually improve and update its facilities.
