As a school, Edenhurst takes very seriously its responsibilities towards the health and welfare of the children within its care. With this end in mind, a healthy eating policy is in place.

At lunchtime, a 'Traffic Light' system is used whereby children may opt for as many 'green' foods as they wish but there are sensible restrictions placed on the 'amber' and 'red' categories. The system recognises the need for a well-balanced diet.

Furthermore, breaktime snacks consist of fruit (or a fruit-based snack) or raw vegetables.
