We very much value the opinions of the children in matters relating to the day-to-day running of the School. The School Council is a body of children whose business is to discuss such matters. It consists of the Form Captain from each of Prep I, Prep II, Prep III, Prep IV and C.E., together with one other elected representative from each of those classes. The Council meets once every half term and discusses a range of issues of their choosing. The meetings are supervised and guided by the Staff Representative. Under recent discussion have been:
- Car Parking Arrangements
- School Meals
- Break Time Activities
- Playground Layout
- The Activities Programme
As a direct consequence of discussion at School Council, the playground space at Break Time has been extended to accomodate additional classes and a Playground Leaders System (PALS) has been adopted to provide reassurance for children who may experience minor social problems at Break Times.
