On Monday 19th September, Edenhurst Preparatory School formally joined Bellevue Education Group (www.blvue.com), a private education company which owns 3 preparatory schools in the UK.

The company’s CEO, Mr Mark Malley, attended the school’s annual Speech Day, which this year was held at the King’s Hall in Stoke, to talk directly to the school’s parents and pupils and to emphasise how privileged he feels to be involved with Edenhurst.

“Edenhurst is a wonderful school. To be associated with the school is an honour and I very much look forward to working with Nick and the staff to help move the school forward.”

As part of his Speech Day talk, Mr. Copestick, Head Teacher, said: “I personally feel very pleased to have secured the future development of the school and I look forward to working closely with Mark. There will be many advantages to our School (and Nursery) being in membership of the group, not least a future investment in buildings and facilities but also educational and operational benefits, such as being able to share and communicate best practice in curriculum and regulations. However, and crucially, Edenhurst will still be able to retain its own unique and successful characteristics.”

During the Speech Day, many pupils received awards for a variety of achievements, including Music, Sport and Art. Teachers, parents and pupils also enjoyed a heart-warming speech from Mr. Hodgkinson who retired from his position as Deputy Head last term.
