reports and monitoring
Full reports
are written twice a year to parents, with separate grade reports issued on
another three occasions during the year. We hold Parents' Evenings twice a
year when parents may meet their child's teachers and discuss progress with
them. Parents are also welcome to contact teachers, or the Headmaster, throughout
the school year if there are matters they wish to discuss.
Each individual's progress is monitored closely and screening tests are performed
annually. The school's Special Needs Policy covers children who may need extra
help in any particular area. Able pupils are also given special attention
and extension work.
Lessons for specialist help can be offered, to a limited number of children,
by visiting Dyslexia Institute teachers. Parents are advised if referral is
thought necessary, as there is a fee commitment to the Institute.
